Position Title: Teen Recruitment Specialist
Program Name: AmeriCorps Youth Education & Enrichment at Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township
Term of Service: Complete 1,200 hours as a Three Quarter Time Member between September 1st, 2024 - August 31st, 2025
Job Summary: The Teen Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to recruit and retain teen members at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dundee Township. This individual will play a key role in engaging with teens, parents, and the broader community to promote the mission of the Club while creating a dynamic and supportive environment for young people to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement a targeted recruitment strategy aimed at attracting teen members to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dundee Township.
Develop and manage a recruitment timeline that aligns with the Club's seasonal programs and events.
Collaborate with internal teams to create marketing materials and campaigns that effectively communicate the Club's mission to potential members and their families.
Establish strong relationships with local schools, community organizations, and parent groups to drive awareness and interest in the Club's offerings for teens.
Coordinate and host events, open houses, and information sessions to introduce the Club's programs to prospective members and their families.
Regularly gather feedback from parents and members to continuously improve recruitment efforts and program offerings.
Maintain the My Club Hub database to track recruitment and retention rates, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Provide regular reports on recruitment and retention metrics, and propose strategies for improvement based on data analysis.
Coordinate college preparation workshops, scholarship seminars, career readiness programs, and other resources for members and families to support their long-term success.
Partner with local businesses, colleges, and organizations to provide additional opportunities and resources for teen members.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
Successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting and drug screening.
Passion for working with youth
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
Time Requirement:
Complete 1,200 hours during the time of service
Participate in mandatory days of service
Complete hours during direct service hours at designated site (i.e. after-school hours, no school days (if applicable), special events, family engagement activities, etc.)
Benefits:
Living allowance provided on a bi-weekly basis, $20,400 yearly gross pay.
