Job Description
As an SEO Analyst, you will provide insightful analyses addressing key performance indicator (KPI) trends and progress in order to provide actionable recommendations and strategies for improving rankings. You will work to address gaps in performance while leveraging current strengths and building on past successes so the organization can take advantage of recognized opportunities.
Job duties will vary upon assignment but may include:
- Identify high-volume and relevant key words that the target audience is searching for and integrate them into existing content. Perform keyword research in coordination with business objectives to uncover new opportunities.
- Analyze website performance, identify issues and opportunities, and track changes in traffic and rankings over time.
- Assess competitor strategies to determine what works, what doesn't, and what we should test. Analyze key word usage, backlink profiles, content, and more to inform our own strategies and ideas.
- Assist the SEO Director with creating comprehensive strategies to improve our website's visibility.
- Optimize our website content and HTML source code to be more search engine friendly. Optimization includes title tags, meta descriptions, headings, text, schema and ensuring that the website's structure is easy for search engines to crawl.
- Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.

- 3+ years of experience in Digital Marketing or Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Basic understanding of HTML
- Knowledge of SEO-related aspects of website performance, including page speed optimization and mobile-friendliness.
- Knowledge of basic SEO principles, content development, branding, and story pitching.
- Proficient in Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools, Moz Analytics and Majestic SEO, or comparable software.
- Experience in content creation, including understanding how to write and optimize content for SEO.
- Proficient in basic computer technologies, appropriate for an internet-based company.
- Regular and predictable attendance
