JOB DUTIES: FUNCTION AS VIDEOGRAPHER in the production of audio/video programming for educational, instructional, promotional and marketing projects; work independently or under minimal supervision to: conceptualize best location, lighting and placement of subjects; operate professional broadcast quality audio/video equipment; capture envisioned images and sound through placement of camera, lighting, microphones, props and subjects; complete assignments within the assigned time frames. ASSIST WITH THE GENERAL OPERATIONS of the Audio-Video Section pertaining to equipment and services; work independently or under minimal supervision to maintain the working readiness of audio/video equipment; coordinate with administrative personnel to prepare requisitions for purchase, contracts and field purchase orders; complete assignments within the assigned time frames; maintain library of field video tapes; maintain archive of completed audio/video programming; maintain inventory of supplies; produce duplicates of audio/video programming. ASSIST WITH POST-PRODUCTION of audio/video programming for educational, instructional, promotional and marketing projects; work independently or under minimal supervision to function as audio-video editor; log tapes; edit and mix programming in the studio utilizing analog and digital editing technology; select appropriate music and sound effects; ensure final product is of high quality and conveys appropriate theme and tone; complete assignments within the assigned time frames. PRE-PRODUCE AND SCRIPT audio/video programming for educational, instructional, promotional and marketing projects; work independently or under minimal supervision to: help coordinate logistics and travel for field or studio shoots; coordinate with administrative personnel to prepare requisitions for purchase, contracts and field purchase orders; draft scripts; research topics using a variety of sources to obtain information and insight; confer with appropriate individuals both internally and externally to verify accuracy and relevance of information; draft scripts that effectively convey information in the appropriate theme or tone and in the appropriate running time, and use correct grammar, punctuation, spelling and format; complete assignments within the assigned time frames.
