Job Title: Packaging and Finished Goods Supervisor
Reports to : Supply Chain Manager
Location: Nampa, ID
Job Summary: As the Warehouse Supervisor for packaging/finished goods, the individual in this role will supervise a team in providing materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services.
Job Duties: •Provide guidance and general direction to team members and maintain a positive work environment
•Ensure fair and consistent application of all Materne N.A. policies, standards and procedures
o Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. Fully investigate incidents and perform root cause analyses. Work with plant leadership to implement corrective action when necessary to eliminate recurrence.
o Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, and sanitation policies, standards and procedures, and GMPs
o Ensure compliance with supply chain policies, standards and procedures
o Writes, implements, and follows up on Standard Operating Procedures.
•Lead the efforts of the packaging and finished goods warehouse team organized to support 24/7 operations in meeting operational goals in the areas of safety, quality, cost, delivery, motivation and environmental.
o Monitor daily work performance and on the job training of warehouse employees
o Lead daily meetings and provide clear communication on work-related matters
o Plan work schedules and assignments and ensure they are completed within the assigned timeline
o Collaborate with Quality to dispose and manage non-compliant materials as well as reworked finished goods.
o Ensure appropriate monitoring of inventory levels in the warehouse.
o Monitor production schedule and creates weekly inventory list of items to pull by FEFO and make updates based on deliveries.
o Monitor production needs and deliveries. Manages warehouse organization to ensure components and products are in the best possible locations, including transfers orders with outside storages.
o Maintains and develops best practices.
o Develop warehouse team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees to meet business needs and to contribute positively to the company culture
o Maintain warehouse team job performance by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Collaborates with Human Resources to administer discipline when needed.
o Prepares and manages end of year inventory.
•Maintain receiving, warehousing, and production delivery operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
o Owns the process for providing instruction and training on safe operation of Powered Industrial Trucks.
o Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local receiving, warehousing, and material handling requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
o Collaborate with Purchasing on supplier issues, improvements, and annual reviews.
o Examine incoming shipment contents and comparing with records, (such as manifests, invoices, or orders) to verify accuracy
o Works closely with the Supply Chain Coordinators regarding all aspects of outside storage, validate and initiate schedule regarding production needs.
o Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
o Owns the inventory of the warehouse and works closely with the Inventory Specialist regarding all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting and physical inventory processes.
o Maintain physical condition of warehouse, including adherence to 6"S" principles and inspecting of equipment. Issues work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
o Consult and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues such as damages, shortages and nonconformance to specifications
•Proposes and manages improvement projects. Participates as a member of cross-functional and cross-site projects.
•Assist and act as back-up to the Raw Material Warehouse Supervisor.
•Assist and act as back-up to the Shipping/Receiving Specialist.
•Assist and act as back-up to the Plant Warehouse Manager.
•Can oversee the finished product sorting/rework activities. Ensures proper resources and direction to ensure productivity and budget adherence.
•All other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements: •Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent is highly preferred.
•3-5 years of experience as a Warehouse supervisor with direct reports
•CPIM preferred
•Strong Microsoft Office experience and in particular Microsoft Excel required.
•Experience with WMS software required.
Skills/Qualifications: •Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, inspire and ensure successful performance of team members.
•Ability to develop work standards and processes that ensure employee, product, and equipment safety.
•Demonstrated ability to implement best practices in inventory control, equipment maintenance and reporting.
•Strong ability to execute sound judgment in making decisions to meet business needs and meet customer requirements.
•Ability to work well cross-functionally in order to deliver exceptional results.
