Position Overview

Summary: The Log Truck Operator is responsible for operating knuckleboom loaders to transport timber. Candidates must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and a clean driving record.

Minimum Class B CDL required.

Job Duties

• Attention to detail and care for people's property is a must.
• We also do government and municipality work including on highways and interstates.
• Pre-trip/ post-trip, loading and unloading wood/logs, and driving the log truck from multiple landings to wood yard and log yard
• Communicate effectively with Crew Leads, and Crew Members
• Securely fasten chain or cable binders around logs to load on the trailer during transit.
• Can operate a truck in accordance with DOT, state, and city regulations, as well as all Company guidelines
• Able follow safety rules and regulations at all times

Qualifications

• Class B CDL required, with medical card
• Ability to operate logging equipment is a plus
• Preferred experience with heavy hauls, dump trucks or long trucks
