Job Description
Family and Children's Services of Mid- Michigan is looking to add a Licensed Therapist that specializes in Children and Teens to our team. This candidate will work with children and teens in both office and in the schools as a counselor. Our team is compassionate about the mental health of our clients and making a difference in our community.
Under Director of Clinical Services guidance and direction, person performs all duties pertinent to the position of Outpatient Therapist. Supervision is provided to mental health counselors.
*Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities*
1. Maintains a standard productivity per week.
2. Establishes and maintains a regular schedule Monday – Thursday starting at 8:00 am to include two evenings until 8:00 pm at the Agency. We are closed Fridays. In the schools one to two days of the four day work week.
3. Collects information about clients through interviews, observations, and tests. Prepares and maintains treatment records and reports. Coordinating information between our office, the school and parents where applicable.
4. Completes clinical and administrative documentation according to requirements imposed by the Agency, contracts, and accrediting bodies.
5. Provides logistical support for Agency front office operations.
6. Attends necessary supervision and Agency meetings based on licensure, credentialing, and Agency requirements as a mental health counselor.
7. Continually increases level of cultural sensitivity, awareness and competency.
8. Abides by policies and procedures set forth by the Agency.
9. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services.
10. Willingness to continue learning in these specialty areas. Growth available through different programs dedicated for success in children and teen therapy.

· Excellent verbal and written communication.
· Ability to think critically, problem solve, remain highly organized, and meet deadlines.
· Ability to provide crisis intervention.
· Advanced knowledge of working with diverse populations including individuals, families, and groups.
· Excellent computer skills, including experience with Electronic Medical Records.
*Qualifications*
Maintains current and unrestricted full licensure within the state of Michigan. Position will be working primarily children, teens and families. Experience working with children, teens, families and schools preferred. Examples: LMSW or LPC (LLC). All licenses and experience is encouraged to apply.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,169.00 - $60,814.00 per year
