As an Insurance Agency Apprentice at Farmers Insurance you will play a pivotal role in helping individuals and businesses protect their assets and achieve their financial goals. You will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, identifying their insurance needs, and recommending tailored insurance solutions to meet those needs.

Responsibilities

Client Acquisition: Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, and other prospecting techniques to expand the client base.

Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough insurance reviews with clients to understand their coverage requirements and financial objectives.

Product Knowledge: Stay updated on insurance products, coverage options, and industry trends to effectively educate clients and recommend appropriate policies.

Customized Solutions: Analyze client information and risk profiles to design personalized insurance plans that address their specific needs and provide adequate protection.

Sales Presentations: Present insurance proposals to clients, explaining coverage details, premiums, and benefits in a clear and compelling manner to facilitate decision-making.

Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, and proactively reviewing coverage to adapt to changing needs.

Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional insurance products and financial services to existing clients to maximize customer value and retention.

Compliance: Adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies regarding sales practices, documentation, and ethical conduct.

Requirements

Proven track record of success in insurance sales or related field, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

Active insurance license in property and casualty (P&C) and/or life and health (L&H) insurance lines preferred, or willingness to obtain licensure.

Strong interpersonal skills and sales acumen, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively, and close deals.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts in simple terms.

Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to prospecting and lead generation.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk management concepts.

Familiarity with insurance agency operations and sales processes.
