Position Purpose
* Teach various courses in the Sport and Exercise Science
* Assign grades for courses as necessary
* Complete course assessment documentation as necessary
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
* Willingness to learn the use of instructional technologies to teach traditional, hybrid, and/or distance learning (online) courses
* Knowledge and skills with software applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience
* Demonstrated teaching experience
* Minimum of one year experience teaching in an online or hybrid environment
* Understanding of competencies required for specific courses
* Excellence in teaching and facilitating the learning process for students
* Applying diverse instructional strategies, including use of technology, in response to learner demographics and learning styles
* Excellent oral, written, and listening skills
Education
* Required: Master's degree in appropriate area for courses to be taught
* Preferred: Minimum of two years' experience in the profession
* Previous teaching experience at the high school or post-secondary level
* Certification or license appropriate to specialty (e.g., NATA, ACSM, NSCA)
Additional Information
Available for Fall and Spring semesters on site at the main campus in Lebanon, TN.
